Last minute party

My friend’s mother is organising a last minute party for my friend this evening. She called me this morning and I agreed to go, I thought it was a nice thing to do form my dear friend F (let’s call her F). I contacted my other friend D (on behalf of F’s mother) and she wasn’t as enthusiastic as I was… long story short D desn’t want to go because she hates last minute requests. What do I do? I want to go but I know D will feel betrayed…

You should go and if you are worried about D feeling betrayed then just inform them beforehand about it. You wanted to go so solely changing your decision to appease to D is not it.
