Good art bad writing
Has anyone noticed that recently there has been a flood of manhwas with good arts, good overall plot idea but the writing is just awful. Like the characters have no real personality, lots of nonsensical stuff happening, lots of self inserting, bad and cringe dialogues, everything is going too fast it’s hard to follow and root for the characters bc you barely know them, no build-ups. No nothing except good arts. We still have good stories but I just hate to see good arts wasted in a bad story.
I’m mostly talking about straight romance. I’m not that much into bl but I think there is the same issue.
I guess manhwas becoming more popular they don’t bother with the writing and just try to get as much stories as they can to make money and with the popularity of kpop they just have to insert it in so many stories even if it’s unfitting. And I actually forgot about that but what the hell is that thing of trying to insert kpop in so many stories like we get it and it’s always cringe and in those self-insert stories. Idk if the authors are fans or if they just want to attract the fans.
Anyways I’m complaining but I’ll read anything with good arts…
Yeah that’s why it’s hard for me to find a worthwhile manhwa. I swear alot of manhwas gain popularity just because of their art, while their plot is nothing to write home about. sue me but lady baby. The art is so stunning but they really put the emphasis on baby cause tell me why the childhood arc lasted years. Also idk if there's been that many developments cause i stopped reading a while ago but i felt like her og goal of solving her family's murder just disappeared?

Yeah I guess it's because authors are more focused on making a story rather than it being good. Looks better on their resume or whatever. To be fair, it is hard trying out new stuff in this sort of market, so authors just stick to what sells the most.
Also there's no real reason to actually change when people will read anything as long as it looks......

Even if you dont love me has very beautiful art but the story is pretty much trash and its going nowhere Things like shota oni are just predatory mangas with great art, i mean the author is always sexually suggestive about the kid. Nasty.
