When poor families continue to have children in hopes that one of them will become wealthy or win the lottery and use their own child to escape poverty, they get poorer. Your children are not your retirement option. You cannot do this to us, since we will have our own obligations or families in the future. Or, better yet, do not start a family if you are not mentally, physically, and financially prepared.

Not exactly the same situation but it kinda feels like me rn bc despite being the youngest sibling I feel like my parents rely on the fact I’m aiming towards a high paying job since my older siblings don’t rly have big dreams like that… bothers me sometimes but I don’t mind too much since I know they’ve done a lot for me
Poor people just gotta stop reproducing tbh and i ain't even trynna be mean but it be the same poor nggas that end up having 5 kids or more I've never understood why bring new horns into such an environment I ain't asking you to be crazy rich but damn
