What are some ways to handle a crush that you know of or have actually done/experienced before?

I’m jus tryna know ways that y'all have handled yours, or ways that y’all just happen to know about, or even if it was the other way around and it was you who was on the receiving end.
So mostly meaning how you guys confessed/were confessed to, or at the very least how you got together with said someone.

Maybe even what happened before and/or after too ;)
