A/B/O and misogynie
Ok so today I tried reading an omegaverse bl. Not my first rodeo but I had learned to read the one that were more like Unromantic cause I really liked it and there wasnt everything I hated in a/b/o in it.
Welp the omegaverse I read suddendly made me remember everything I hated about the genre. But even more the inequality and misogyny of it all. Yeah in some omegaverse bl they don’t even mention women but let’s be honest omega have the « typical » role of a women and the role women had not long ago. Shut up, be a good sex toy and give birth to em children. And it annoys me.
But the one I read just now praised alphas « they’re more aggressive but since they’re better in everything they’re the only one that can own land (?!) choose their mate (obviously without consent from the other party) and be leaders »
And they described omegas as « pretty but useless, only there to give birth so obviously they’re all women » and the MC was one of the rare male omegas and was pretending to be an alpha
Its not even about this bl alone like that’s not even hidden of underlying misogyny that’s full on exposed.
