Honestly, this site has become an echochamber of people saying something shitty about BL and gaining a few hundred upvotes, rinse and repeat. People forget that Asian countries are much more conservative, just because authors don't come out as queer or reveal their identity, doesn't mean there aren't queer BL creators or queer people who don't cons......   1 reply

Not gonna moral police a whole genre but the most popular yaoi with ratings as high as 9.7 will be super toxic or have romanticized rape. I would rather take a basic SL over that. Amazing queer stories exist but they are nowhere near those toxic BLs in terms of popularity. I think people hate on miscommunication trope regardless of the genre. T......   reply

I agree there are enough stories for those fluff lovers to go and enjoy. They whine about every non PC thing to occur in the stories. THEY ARE FICTIONAL. The need to spam the comments with this obsession is ridiculous. Many of the readers are kids and teens though so it's not surprising. I'll never stop enjoying them. I mean…I think a lot of people are just tired of seeing the same tropes over and over again. Personally? I’m not gonna moral police a series, but there are certain things I’m not a fan of including trying to redeem a character who’s done something really bad with a simple “oh they had a bad childhood” because it really doesn’t show ......   reply
