I think it’s no surprise that bl/ yaoi contains a lot of taboo or problematic themes, but why is incest so common. I don’t even mean step siblings but blood relations. Like I don’t see the appeal and why so many authors would choose incest to be part or the central theme of their stories.
I’d say straight love and hentai aren’t safe from that either but basically make some stupid reason as to how they’re technically related but also not
