Is 17 and 19 fine?

I have a friend of mine that has been really close with this guy and she's getting romantic with him, I'm happy for her but the only thing is their age. 17 and 19 one is still a minor and he is an adult, I don't know what to feel about this one please help should I advise them to be careful or their ages aren't that bad??? Or am I overreacting

It's not a weird age gap. Some of you should learn when to use the word grooming correctly. She's not a kid, he's not a full ass adult either. You know her better than any of us so if you think she'll immaturity and blindly follow a guy who's bringing her nothing good (according to your conclusion) then.. go ahead and advice her. The maturity gap between a 17 yo and a 19 yo is not that big of a difference and she will be turning 18 within a year, so i think it's not that bad. However, if you are really concerned, either warn her to be a bit careful, or ask her to make sure to tell you if any red flags pop up. reply

the age gap in and of itself (2yrs) is not a problem, what feels icky is the fact that a 17yo and 19yo are at two very different maturity levels and different points of life, aside from the fact that she is still a minor, of course . unless they have been dating since they were both minors, yes it's something you should discuss with her because th...... 1 reply

ok not a expert but i saw something online that people don't really develop their brain fully until 20 or 25 soo...... I'd say not for now like i feel like she'll regret something when she does date this dude like wait it out until she's a adult there's kinda reason why 17 isn't consider in some country's as a adult so... just advice your friend reply

I think with this one I'd advice your friend to keep her guards up regarding her boundaries, mental and emotional. I can't really say more on this one since idk either ur friend or her beau but there is an imbalance in terms of legal rights so I'd suggest keeping her patience and testing the waters till she went over 18 and going into 19.
