Why do ya'll mainly read BL/yaoi?

I mainly read BL because I love how the author give emotions to the character and the plot ... Even though it looks repetitive but some have a special something on it .... for example "10 years where I love you the most" I only read half of it but the impact of the plot and characters was so good that every chapter makes me cry

I also read Romance but only few since some of them is poorly written since most of the story have a badass FL at start then became a damsel in distress at the middle of story or a story that have a super helpless FL that makes every man help her .... But to be honest I think that if the plot is good and is delivered correctly even those with Helpless FL would be a good read but alas most of the author think FL is just there to be a pretty love interest...
