To be honest at first I pretend to be interested on what they're doing/have without making them uncomfortable. Maybe ask about where do they buy their outfit or other things that maybe came from a franchise like their stickers or keychain. For example: “Hey/excuse me, is that.........? I think I saw that before but I don't know where to buy it.�......
