I avoid chinese manhua
Ok so please don’t attack me but like- am I the only one who sometimes avoids Chinese manhuas?
I remember a few years ago I used to read EVERYTHING put under my nose and that ended up being a lot of Chinese manhuas. It was repetitive in almost every genre.
(Also is it just me but like the art is very recognizable? Like they almost always have very similar arts???)
Shounen Ai: Slow burn into oblivion, censored kisses, sometimes really toxic shit but they get back tgt
(IM LOOKING AT YOU BLACK LOTUS)…
Romance: genderbend (fiou I’m not gay cause they’re actually a girl), DRUGGED ONE NIGHT STAND THAT ENDS UP WITH A KID AND WHEN THE FL COMES BACK TO THE COUNTRY THE KID MEETS THE CEO AND CEO FORCES GIRL
…, green tea bitch, awful step mother and siblings
Action: Harem (honestly I kinda just don’t touch them for that one reason)
Obviously there are exceptions like: here u are, 19 days, heavens official blessing (and all the others from that author)
Its just that when I see the stereotypical Chinese manhua style I tend to go for something else unless people say it’s good and it’s recommended
I actually have to agree with this especially when the manhua have the like webtoon artstyle. However, I absolutely love Chinese Novels and even though they have the same plots there's just something so fun about reading 3000 chapters of either absolute nonsense or a gem.

I generally prefer to read the novel (if there's one) for the chinese manhua (I asked my deaskmate to beat you for example) especially since they tends to be 1. Really long for no reason 2. have a very meh translation with oftentimes sentences that don't make sense/are broken and 3. art that is way too much, like just try a chapter of "Pheromone sa......

So basically yes, the art is often the same and if it s shounen ai then you better prepare for a very long and a boring journey to their first censored kiss. And if it s yaoi... hmm i dont remember any yaoi manhua.. are there any ? but anyway there are really some masterpieces among every kind of th......

Some manhuas with these tropes are more enjoyable in the novel, (with exception of some) because a lot of them tend to censored and cut off a lot of details when being adapted as a result it will be bland, boring, unejoyable, repeatative, and sometimes confusing. Well, except for those manhuas that wasn't drawn (or published?) under the same compa......

isekai, transmigration, system/world-hopping, regression, rebirth, revenge plot, entertainment, etc.... As someone who loves to read Chinese novels (I dont read manhua but I noticed how similar the arts... its always their eyes, the nose and face shape), most novels I've read under each genre are almost identical with each other... same plot, just ......

Verry interesting, in my case most BL series I read might be chinese (for a few years now) mostly because in most of them it's not the typical japanese/ korean "first meeting - sex - hate to love - more sex - relationship - sex again - drama - sex" plot.
Instead they're really interesting stories with good characters (like The Falling Merman, Mr. ......

I get what you're saying and that's pretty much true and it gets really annoying but I really like the over the top drama that's happening to pretty much all BL manhua's since ATM I really enjoy it with those kind of stories
