I t's like I fell in love

My friends recommended I watch and read Junjou Romantica and it changed me forever. I would wait until everyone was asleep and use the computer late at night to early morning just to watch Junjou. I experienced heartache and a swooping feeling in your tummy and no anime or manga has ever made me feel so strongly. The most I had felt for anime/manga was excitement and a sense of hope, I'd also pick waifus for myself and feel giddy when I saw my faves in an episode.

"Is this what love is like?"
I empathize a lot with what I read and listen to so you bet I felt soooo much when reading yaoi. The ache in my heart when the characters longed for one another, when they realize they want this other being to be a permanent fixture in their life, when they think they won't be loved for who they are, when someone comes along and changes their whole world or when a person becomes a small thing in their day that they anticipate etc. I feel those moments in my heart and it's so heavy. I'm addicted to those feelings. It's like I'm falling in love at the same time as them. You start rooting for them and wish they'd be together forever.

Goes to show how dry my actual love life is tho lmao
