find a common interest if you're talking to a person, like ask about games, music, stuff you did, stuff they did. id like to say, don't try too hard if the person is dry or has short answers. they're not worth your time and will only make you feel bad.
same when you're in a group of people talking about a subject: answer if you wanna add, approve......
