Typical friend behavior or nahh?

So like I’m friends with this guy for bout 5 months and we’re practically best friends now. I’ve never been this close to anyone before. And he’s a really touchy person, like he has a habit of touching my arms, patting my head and being very affectionate in general. Mostly towards me but he does this to others too. Recently, he started to become clingy and lean on me and hold my hands (interlocking fingers and all that ;-;) when we hang out. I don’t mind it because we’re comfortable with it BUT the thing is he has a girlfriend Σ(っ°Д °;)っ and idk if this behavior is considered normal by other ppl ╥﹏╥ what do y’all think? (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

nahh that's crazy, even tho hes a touchy person he should set boundaries knowing that he has a girlfriend but then i have friends who are like that to me too so i guess it's alright(?) but me personally... naw reply

Uh. Uhhhhhhhhh im pretty sure most people with a closed or monogamous relationship wouldn't like that. Leaning on and holding hands with locked fingers is very intimate, and most people in a relationship would save that type of skinship with their partners. i personally don’t think the holding hands is normal and even just the clingy part because he has a girlfriend to do that shit with. imo he probably likes you, but he already has a gf. but even if both of you two have no actual feelings towards each other, you still have to take the gf’s feelings into consideration even if she doesn’t know a...... 1 reply

Obviously idk these ppl idk the gf and idk what rules they have in their relationship but if I were her I would be uncomfortable with it. Obviously(x2) there’s no definitive answer to this question because so many details are left out but I do think you should talk to his gf and him about it if you really do want to know. reply

Some people genuinely just show their emotions thorough physical touch and stuff HOWEVER unless he’s naïve and doesn’t realize that some forms of touch would be a little inappropriate when dating, then things such as interlocking fingers is a little far. it would've been normal if he doesn't have a gf. me and my bestfriend are like this. we're kind of clingy with each other but like- we were not in a relationship while doing all of those so.... anywaysss you two should better talk about it. please. her gf would probably get jealous and you and him are most likely to be subjected to unnecessary dram...... reply
