I don't think it's necessarily an age thing I think it just happens when you've read enough stories that it ends up getting repetitive and you start to lose the anticipation that you had in the first few stories of that genre that you read. I think enjoying a story at the moment and rereading it a while later to find it lackluster or even complete ......   reply

i feel that my standards are currently too high to the point if im reading or watching something that's slightly not hitting those standards i drop it. i believe it could've been better and i will just find something else to try because it's not worth my time anymore as it was when i was younger.   reply

I understand how you feel, but don't look at your past self this way, nor abandon your hobbies. Everyone changes, including our tastes. Not only that, but somethings just age like milk, others are simply very temporal, and relevant and fun at a certain period in life/history. i dont think age has to do anything with it. its natural for your tastes to change as you change. idk i felt like this for a while and i was really only reading updates to stuff i had really enjoyed/ have been keeping up with for years and not reading anything new. then i was put on meds and i realized that on top of depression i was also in a fake......   reply
