Painter of the night
Holy moly, I am glad to live in the 21st century. That's terrifying, even if you escape there's practically nowhere to go and the cherry on the shit-cake is that everything his noona said is absolutely right - suengho has the ability to destroy so many people. Who is he even? Why does he have so much power? Does he have a specific rank? Why can he go around killing servants without anyone batting an eye, but the brown haired dude has so much trouble even stomaching the idea of killing someone? Why is the role reversal so cute but this story makes me wish all the characters with a scholar hat would collectively disappear?
ah, modern society! With our beautiful, expensive therapists! With a legal system that sort-of holds people accountable!
No such possibilities of abuse!
....except if your family/SO is abusive.
- But you can cut ties in time!
...Or a superior coerces you into things.
- But maybe you can switch jobs and file a harassment lawsuit!
...Or the government decides liberty is conditional.
- But, but... er.... maybe someone can start a revolution?
well, regardless of all that, modern society for the win! agency for the win! Nope, I do not want to isekai into a medieval society anymore, thanks for asking!
frr lol make one wrong move and you'll be unalived

Never read painter of the night but yes it's does depends on your rank, if you're a higher ups you can do anything u like basically above by the law. Plus since you're a higher ups you killing "lowlifes" may make ppl think "it's just punishment" or they're too scared to fight against it since again, you're above the law.
