If there's rape, I'll drop it (I can read dub-con if it's a good story, even though I would prefer full consent). I also hate stories that their entire plot is based on drama with exes. And if it just gets boring or really dumb. Or if it gets depressing beyond saving, then I'm out, too. I want stories that will make me happy, not depressed.
