Weeb was never a term for liking anime. It was a term (primarily asian) people used for people with unhealthy obsession with Japan and who fetishized Japanese culture. I think weeb has always been a term for someone who were obsessed with Japanese culture and ppl changed it to liking anime. Idk about the yaoi and yuri one tho I always refer to it as BL and GL   reply
