Def, I appreciate your breakdown. Also CRT is a course taught in a few Ivy leave post graduate programs. It exams the laws that historically have been enacted to oppress poc. From the 13th amendment which while freeing the slaves had a back door for slavery to still exist, and that was through the carceral state. Basically if you’re imprisoned you can be forced to work for free or for nothing at all. So laws were written that seemed to only effect blk ppl (until recently when the for profit prison industrial complex developed. Now they just want an endless supply of warm bodies making those sneakers.) But the system that was put in place still exists and is still disproportionately affecting poc. Who bc of policies like redlining and the theft of wealth by white murderous mobs, haven’t been able to achieve generational wealth like white ppl have. Ppl in poverty are more likely to commit crimes of desperation and we have a system that already is set up to criminalize crossing the street wrong while black (jaywalking). But bc the RW is a mess they look for wedge issues like trans kids and CRT to scare FB Karen’s into showing up at local school board meetings and acting the fool about a course that isn’t taught in any public school. At best maybe some private Montessori school has a watered down version of CRT, but for the most part it’s a fcking course created for law students. The vast majority of public school kids get a European, wealthy, landowning male centric history education. With 28 days a year devoted to a white washed history of blk ppl. (They def don’t get an edu on indigenous ppls and other minorities who helped build this country but were left out of the text books.
