I need advice

So i just recently started dating this guy who has been my friend for a while. Now this is the first time im going out wit a guy who was my firend but i have no idea how to act. Our texts seem so dry and even on call we become awkward plus we cant meet up due to the pandemic. Pls tell me how to spice all this up
