What do you think of people who say, "After all I've done for you"?

context matters- say that your partner cheated on you after you devoted your life to be with compared with your parents saying that after you said no to a request, the latter is controlling whereas the former is seen as honesty.   1 reply

I think it depends.... If someone shows you kindness I think you should reciprocate that.... But if they wanna run your life that's a big no......   reply

Hard to say without more context. They could be that sort who give a lot and think you are selfish and taking them for granted. That’s my first thought. Or, they could simply feel unappreciated. But if you feel it’s used for control then you probably have your reasons knowing the people who said it and the situation   reply

I think they are trash. Don't get me wrong. If other people say it, it's okay to point out. So, for example, if someone I know was raised with utmost care and sacrifice, by their parents or someone else, and they were being complete pissweeds and disregard all of that with their behaviour, it would be okay for me to point out and rub it in their f......   reply
