I'm not sure if people should do this or this thing works for everyone but: I get disturbing intrusive thoughts which give me severe anxiety. I then keep thinking about it which makes it worse. And I know that they're intrusive thoughts and thinking more about them will ONLY make it worse. So I made a sentence that pulls me out of a negative train ......   1 reply

like mushvroom said, whenever you notice that you might go into that state of anxiety just like try break away from it somehow. like make a code word or sentence that pulls you into a different train of thought. it would probably work best if it somehow links to your worries/train of thoughts when you get anxious??? so basically just change the top......   reply

I suggest having a glass of water and sipping slowly. I often listen to some music, nothing sad but also nothing too calm, I usually listen to some exciting songs that distract myself. I know how it feels and trust me, its not easy, just take it slow there is no point overdoing it. -- I also think having something to fidget is good as well. remem......   reply

i usually blast music and then read when ive calmed down a bit or maybe even take a nap. ill sometimes take a shower bc i find them very calming for sum reason. i used to write in a journal but i scrapped that a while ago since it's not as bad. maybe try that one thing they taught you in elementary, it went sumn like: stop, take a deep breath,......   reply
