Is it hard to find a good lover?

To make my question clearer, I am curious about if people find partners that really treat them right. By good lover, I just mean that they won't force things or pressure you into anything without your consent or change personalities and so on. I know it differs from person to person, and I won't be able to make a conclusion about how "common" or "numerous" good people are, but I would like to hear about others' experiences with their partners! I would be very grateful if anyone would take the time to answer! As a person who has never had a boyfriend or girlfriend, but afraid of a bad relationship, I just hope that if I start actively pursuing relationships instead of waiting for the right one to fall in my lap, that I won't... well meet a jerk and get hurt.
