take this with a grain of salt but i feel like the person is just surprised that you posted a celebrity that they (i guess) know (otherwise they wouldnt ask your ethnicity).
so basically i think the person who asked is indian themself and asked if you're an indian as well because of the celebrity that you posted that they may or may not recognize. we'll never really know unless they finally answer you
