Questions for people who identify as transgender.
So I have a school assignment where I am supposed to ask questions about someone who isn't like me. I chose transgender because I do not know many people who identify as transgender and I don't want to accidentally offend someone I know so I chose to ask these questions on this board because most of the people here seem very nice.
1. When did you realize that you were transgender?
2. What kind of impact has being transgender had on your relationships (any type-romantic, friendship, family)
3. Why do some people prefer singular pronouns (he/she) and others prefer plural pronouns (they/them)
4. Do you think being transgender affected your sexuality?
5. What is one thing that you wish all cis-gendered people knew.

1. I guess I ‘realized’ I was trans around 3rd/4th grade. I just remember meeting this girl who was a tomboy and thinking, ‘so it’s okay to be masculine?’ After presenting as such for several years I kinda just understood that I wanted to be seen as a man, through and through.
