How do you feel about AAVE?

i wish ppl would stop bc we got ridiculed for it in the past as having "bad language" or "haha that negro cant talk" but now ppl treat it as if its simply gen z slang. its become so normalized so we cant rlly do anything abt it but its extra annoying when ppl use it wrong. saying stuff like "yea those shoes are bussin". i cant make ppl not use it b......   1 reply

a black person myself, I feel like as long as it's used correctly and not in a way to mock or disrespect my ppl then it's fine. it also bugs me when ppl call it "Gen Z language" or "modern slang" cuz they've always been a thing for decades now which causes loss in a sense of origin( which is BLK ppl ofc )   reply

I don’t care I never cared at this point I’m treating it the same way I treat strangers. Cool that you exist but at this point and time I don’t care. The only time I feel ANYTHING for AAVE is when people treat it as if it’s some foreign language like get over yourself it’s still English stop acting like you just skipped into the Middle Ea......   reply

people look stupid when they use it wrong but i think its ridiculous to say only black people can use it（￣へ￣）theres no way you can stop everyone from using it especially when some of the words are really ingrained in popular culture (〜￣△￣)〜 just know what words are and are not aave and try not to look dumb ya know?
