Are LGBTQ+ are not for kid?
I saw some previous posts on the "not allowing gay Netflix" and that makes me wonder "are LGBTQ is a sacred topic for a kid?".
To be honest, there's some channel "Queer kid" and the owner of that channel has some TEDtalk and almost all the commenter below, they don't seem to agree with her "sexuality isn't sex".

https://www.youtube.com/user/ollyspOh yeah, here's my question for you:
1. Are LGBTQ are considered taboo topics for kids?
2. If you think it's a taboo topic for kids, which age do you think, they're suitable for LGBTQ content?
I know mangago is a weird place for me to ask, but as Mango's kingdom has a diverse and wide spectrum of people, I want to ask your opinion regarding this.
And if you wonder, "are you trolling?". No, I'm not trolling you, I'm just asking this out of curiosity.
Sexuality is literally a person's identity in relation to the gender or genders to which they are typically attracted; sexual orientation. Letting children know that love between same genders is possible isn’t going to destroy them or defile them in any way. People seriously don’t see a problem with heteronormativity in our society pushed onto ......

I don't think lgbtq is a taboo topic for kids, honestly if anything kids should be educated about Lgbtq more. I've seen many parents complain about Lgbtq topics in schools and i don't agree with them, Lgbtq kids suffer bullying etc from other kids who very simply don't understand. I think kids need to learn and hear about Lgbtq in order to remove c......

1. Absolutely not. If they grow up with it they will learn some families are different from societies norms, but it will seem normal to them for their friend in kindergarden to have two mommies or two daddies when they have a mom and a dad. Normalizing these things on television for kids is better so they can have a better understanding of these to......

I don't think it's a taboo topic or something. Ppl said that kids shouldn't watch the trailer of that movie bcuz it had alot of stereotypes and stuffs about lgbtq ppl and treats it like an abnormal thing, while it IS normal.
We ppl are normal too but they're treating us like some big deal which I think might be a bad influence on kids. They need t......

From my experience it’s not about the topic itself it’s more about the sex part of it. Like how parents get upset when someone comes along and teaches their kid let’s say elementary age about sex (straight gay whatever it’s sex) without telling them they upset because 1. Who tf are you teach their kid about sex at such an age and 2. They ma......

It would only be taboo to homophobic parents. Children don’t naturally hate until taught to do so by those around them.
If anyone wants to help add LGBTQ+ books to their children’s library I recommend Daniel Haack‘s children’s books Prince & Knight or Maiden & Princess.
Honestly, these days LGBTQ content is everywhere so even kids in cl......

I think LGTBQ+ IS a suitable topic for children, only it would be better if people didn't talk about it too much. Some kids may feel pressured to put a sexuality on themselves. Of course, it should also not not be discussed, since children may feel less insecure about their sexuality and they would be more accepting of other genders and sexualities......
