What are your thoughts and opinions regarding people labeling characters as seme and uke?

I've read quite a lot of comments referring the characters as such and I am quite curious of what other people think about it.

Well, they're just characters part of a manga, as long as you don't do it to people in real life I don't really mind 1 reply
