How young is too young or how old is to old to read yaoi?

Manga are not real. They are a work of fiction. If you find yourself associating a manga with real life things then you are too young to read a manga. Sadly, the majority of the people out there are too young to read manga. But they still read it anyway.   reply

I think it depends on what kind of yaoi it is. If it’s smut then they usually have an 18+ rating (but let’s be honest, no one follows the ratings) so there is one answer. I would never encourage anyone below legal age read xxx yaoi. But they wouldn't tell anyone anyway if they wanted to find it. I read some at maybe 11? I think there is no such thing as "too old to read yaoi" the same way adult content says "+18" and not "18-30". Once you're mature enough for explicit yaoi, you never go back.
