I don't feel like people have that much prejudices against tattoos here as long as it's in the usual places like arms, legs, back...
Having tattoos on your face, neck and hands might be less acceptable for some people, though.
Of course, that's how it seems to be in my area. I can't talk for the rest of the country. '^'
