Honestly depending on your age it's your life. They really shouldn't care. Heck you don't even have to mention it at all. but I guess if for example, you reading the yaoi and it's a hot scene, your father/ mother walk in. lolol I remember like a year ago I was watching Anthony Bourdain's one show with my mom, the episode was about Japanese pop culture, it mentioned yaoi and explained what it was also said it was "popular with teenage girls and soccer moms", but I could feel her staring at me throughout the entire yaoi portion lol, I sweat bullets that day   reply

I told my mum about it sometime (when I was 13) on holiday when she asked me what I was reading. We really don't have any secrets her and me and we have pretty openminded view on life here, so my parents just accepted it and they don't really mind. My parents don't know I read 'yaoi' but, they know that what I'm reading is gay since I go through all types of material... and I have repeatedly told them at least I am home and not doing drugs or getting pregnant like most of my colleagues... Well, my parents knows that I'm reading and watching yaoi. They saw a bunch of pictures and videos even yaoi games in my phone and laptop and tablet also. They won't mind it anyways. They already know that I'm liberated and open minded and oh come on I'm 27 y/o already. I'm not a kid anymore. XD   reply
