So I've only been here for around 9 months. I have never experienced this type of situation before so I was a bit baffled. Before I tell you this lemme just say I am not personally black, I am Hispanic, I also fully support BLM and many other movements. I was reading a manhwa when I suddenly see the n-word being used by an (Asian) character. Now I don't know If this is common or if maybe I overreacted because I posted a topic on how shocked I was and said that I don't think that was necessary or right even if the translator was a black person. But of course, got a negative reply as a result saying that "it's an illegal site" and that I should "stop obsessing over the n-word like it’s your whole identity". Now here's where your part comes in. Am I overreacting?
(Not threats not curse words but with facts and respectful thoughts cause that doesn't really seem to happen on this site cause it's just mostly dicks)
Please tell the name of the manhwa. We should check if it's the translator or the author's fault before we give out our judgement. Some of authors' works are having bad reputation because of bad translators (like Pumpkin Night) 1 reply
