In my opinion, it's not that it's written by women for women, but rather because of the very fact that it's written for entertainment purposes, and not to reflect reality that it's incredibly unrealistic. Japanese people make manga for Japanese people to read, and yet we still get unrealistic school-life harems filled with yanderes, extreme tsunder......
