The cause of ships and planes going missing in the Bermuda Triangle is the methane vents that were discovered in their region.
Methane reduces the density of water, therefore causing ships to sink. Gas form methane can mess with the electrical components of an aircraft, causing them to fail and fall from the sky and into the water.
