BL/yaoi and yuri terms! come learn!

Hey! ive seen a lot of misconceptions around BL and yuri terms and i'm here to tell you guys to stop acting like BL and yuri are the opposite of eachother when it comes to definitions, here they are
First boys love =

This one encompass ALL male on male romance manga works, it can be nsfw as long as there is romance.
Next is shounen ai..now this one has pedophilic origins so i personally don't think we should be using it but anywasy, this genre has much much more wholesome and fluffy works between ' beautiful' boys

Then we have yaoi, this one is kinda outdated however in japan it is used to talk about nsfw gay male manga works.

Next YURI!

First is GL or girls love, as of 2021 this term is the same as the term 'yuri' before it was sometimes used to denote nsfw yuri but not anymore, this term encompass all lesbian manga and is the same as yuri

This term has also pedophilic roots/origins so be aware, if you want to find GL without sex this is the genre that you need to write ! do not write GL because it's the same as yuri like i said

And last we have yuri. at first in the early 1990s the term was used to talk about pornographic lesbian manga/anime content, but this changed! as of 2021 you can use this term for wholesome lesbian manga content! so
