Best places could be "online gaming" and "friends of your (male) friends". When there is someone you like, find excuses to chat/talk with them privately. Maybe you even get lucky and one of them start flirting/talking with you first.
I actually have a story/example for that, but since it is from a guys-perspective I'm not sure it would help you :D
