Should teen pregnancies be stigmatized or glamorized?
I actually think they should neither be stigmatized or glamorized. Teen pregnancies should not be something that this glorified into something that should be desired. They are a very hard thing to go through. Teens are obviously usually not mentally and financially capable of taking care of babies. It would also be harder for teen girls, whose bodies are not fully developed, to give birth.
I do not think they should be stigmatized either. There should be a wider conversation about safe sex to teens. Some people shame teen girls for being pregnant at such a young age, yet do not want her to be able to abort it. It is your responsibility as a parent to present sex realistically to your child and teach them about ways to prevent pregnancies(and STDs). Most people don't wait until marriage to have sex.
Support teen moms but not teen pregnancy.
