I mean, it can be and has been used in a pejorative and derogatory manner to cause real and lasting harm, so perhaps using it so lightly isn't exactly wise... You didn't use it in such a way, not at all, but just because you don't use a historically harmful word with harmful intentions doesn't make the word's history irrelevant or meaningless when ......
