I find the more mature the content the more of an interesting take on society the story is. I personally like stories like that in book form (can't stomach movie rape) but my main reason for reading them is kind of the same reason people like watching documentary about serial killers, it's more about being interested in what could drive a person to such inconceivable violence. I dont necessarily seek out the tags for it but if one is trending and well written I definitely am interested and will give it a read.
I don't mind continuing to read a manga that has rape/trauma if it gets resolved and the a character has a support system and it brings 2 characters closer. Like a character has a backstory and eventually tells his/her partner about it and they support each each other.
Cheating is really annoying and dumb to read about if the character(s) never stops and never shows any remorse for it. If I'm just reading a story about a character cheating over and over, it gets pointless because nothing gets solved.
I like reading tragedy, if it is "realistic" and the character gets support and help of their issue and has a "happy" ending.
I can read stories with those tags, but I don't go searching for them. Before everyone starts saying how I can read rape stories I only read the ones (yoai) where the guy is more embarrassed than not wanting it

Sorry but if anyone enjoys the rape tag I think you need to re-evaluate why that is and understand it’s unhealthy. I’m fine if people like reading like tragedies and threesomes cause threesomes are typically harmless and some people like reading angsty, sad stories. Don’t understand why anyone likes cheating stories but whatever there. But rape? *Seriously?* I could go on for a whole novel on how problematic romanticizing rape is, let alone actively seeking out such an awful tag.

Nobody ever wants rape, because rape means that the victim doesn't consent to be touched and committing sexual acts. Like Boo said, rape is never okay!
