What do you like about yaoi? Or What is it in yaoi that got you into reading it?

I used to read a lot of romance novels because my mom liked to read them in her off time. (Her job at the time was very stressful, and the goofy, stupid nature of cheap romance novels helps her wind down when she's stressed.) I also really like to read them and poke fun of them. i got attracted to yaoi because the plot is way too different. the way uke and seme in yaoi act normally different from what i found in another romance genre. i before i sign myself in yaoi world, i never sure about watching a new anime. i sometimes get pissed and bored when the main character is a boy. it's like, the girl is... i dunno.... i don'......   reply

Hmmm... nice question... I would say... the drama? Everything is way too dramatic in the gay world, even irl LOL. Also, yaoi has lots of great psychological works that are awesome and I've never seen in other genres... including psychological itself xD I've read mangas with yanderes, and I find it disgusting and disturbing in shojos, for example, a......   reply

Maybe because it's... different? I like unique things I guess so I think yaoi is different because it shows how not only straight couples can find love, gays can too. Plus, I think society shuns gays more than lesbians bc everyone loves lesbos and titties and dat ass (including me lol) but I think people don't like the gays because "they're guys", ......   reply

Hmm... There are a lot of things about yaoi that make it attractive to me. First off, I love the way the male body looks. (▰˘◡˘▰) Especially the way that they tend to be depicted by the mangaka. I love reading about love. The gender of characters didn't bother me much I was interested in the plot. But if I were to focus on just yaoi, I prefer reading manga where both characters had a similar physical build (not where one is overpowering the other), where the characters really seem like actual guys, where the plot is not so fast-paced inste......   reply
