Honestly depends.... was the break up bad? Did your friend or the ex break up? Are they on good terms? Is the relationship worth risking the friendship? Would you like it if your friend would date your ex?
Personally speaking I would never do it but I know people who did it and they all stayed "friends" talking behind each other backs but weren't ......
