For my answer, you gotta go old school. Does anyone here know Star Blazers? My first anime and I was utterly enchanted. It was beautiful. I can still sing parts of the opening song. As for manga, I found it a lot latter in life and it was Loveless. Sweet, twisted and more than a little dark, what more could a girl ask for?
