First of all, you need motivation! On math, my teacher told me to always do exercises. Do it every day if you can. Not much just 1 or 2 questions for every chapters. I never had any issues with school. I liked both, Math and English, when I attended school. I think school is a really important steppingstone for your future. So my advice is to try and take it a bit more seriously, but keep it fun too. The best way is to make a plan and reward system, to keep yourself motivated and to better manage your time.
