Not liking romance is perfectly fine, everyone has different tastes and all that jazz. But the fact that you only read BL is odd. Besides gender, there's not that much of a difference between Shoujo/Josei and BL/Yuri, besides fetishization of course.
All of them have mangas with weak "damsel in distress" MCs, independent and strong MCs, cold MCs, ......
