And i want to address the people in the answers saying "We'll refer to you as what you look like at first glance, correct us and then we'll use those pronouns" Thats not the discussion going on. when I talk abt a random person to someone, I refer to the random as they/them when I don’t know their pronouns. but when I see them or talk to them face-to-face I just ask their pronouns. maybe just ask their for their pronouns first. I rem that some trans people get offended with they/them so yeah   1 reply

I usually use it subconsciously, but this makes sense. I'll switch to using they/them rather than he/her ig   reply

You might have a point, but I saw a person do that under a Tiktok video and the creator of it went and said “I go by she/her pronouns”. Isn’t it offensive no matter which ones you use? I even saw someone get angry because someone in her comment section was using proper grammar and called them “they” in their sentence. It wasn’t even mea......   1 reply

sadly english is the only language I can do that though.. since in almost any latin language I know, there's no neutral prounons. even the word "non-binary" is gendered like   reply
