I actually didn't get into yaoi until college as a bit of a bonding experience with a friend with benefits who also got me back into anime, so I had plenty of time with regular porn and actual banging before reading these became a bit of a guilty pleasure passtime. But I'd have to say my initial reaction was a generous mixture of aww and NOICE.
