yk when ur friends say their talentless or something along those lines and u sympathize and relate with them cuz u are too. but then u see them actually having skills and talent on a certain thing which makes u feel more shittier

basically my interactions with friends go like this: my friend will say smthn like “ugh I’m so useless and talentless.” Then suddenly you see them knowing how to draw so nicely or some of them actually making good music and poetry

not that I’m jealous of them but it just makes me kinda annoyed how they say such things when it’s obvious theyre passionate about something. Maybe I am a dick for being like that or maybe it’s just that one side of me that hopes for them to see how much they’re actually worth. I literally have no talent in anything nor am I passionately driven and motivated to do anything anymore. I used to be passionate about this one certain sport but thanks to some dumb stupid trauma I had to drop it. anyways thats all lol

oh dw im like this all the time. also, is anybody else like.. i dunno how to explain it, but it like really really hurts whenever someone says no, or they cancel plans? my doctor said its a symptom of the adhd,, which is rejection something or other,,, but yea we love feeling inferior to other ppl (no we dont) 1 reply

maybe they're just discouraged..? i mean they feel bad at the moment, sadly theres nothing you can really do about them, but i think being "talented" at something always comes with its down fall. i was super good at like all the arts when i was a kid, but now i sit at home way to burnt out. its definitely not jealousy you feel, but more frustration...... reply

for soemone who’s basically a therapist friend, this happens a lot to me. but there’s nothing much u can really do but try to encourage them and support their decisions. maybe u should try picking up different simple hobbies like knitting or write three lines of poem everyday. There’s a vast variety of hobbies you could pick up on, heck may...... reply

I think they feel bad about themselves to the point they don’t know their talents or what they’re good at, heck you might be good at something but you just don’t know about it, basically downing themselves, it’s annoying when they keep saying it multiple times, but the other person may not notice this reply

I have a friend like this. She's very good at singing and writing but she's... very self-deprecating. She'd say she's useless, worthless and untalented bUT it's really because her mental health is not at it's best. And some people don't see themselves like what we see them. Maybe to us what they did was amazing but to them it's not good enough. reply
