well I felt kind of invalidated when I used to read straight fanfictions, something felt missing so I searched up gay comics or something like that and just like that i started reading yaoi and yuri, this is validation and representation (ofc most of them are bad representation but still) for me, i feel included when i read yaoi and yuri
