OK there are so many things that I have issues with, but my biggest one is when they casually toss around the terms “seme” and “uke” in everyday relationships. It’s already bad enough when you automatically assume every gay relationship must have a designated “top” and “bottom”...using “seme” and “uke” just amplifies that by tenfold. “Seme” and “uke” didn’t even originally mean “top” and “bottom”?? (From what I’ve heard) It was derived from martial arts, “seme” meaning the “aggressor” (the one attacking) and “uke” being the “victim” (the one being attacked)...if that doesn’t send off some red flags for you, I don’t know what will.

and the hetero stereotypes these defaults do be putting on GAY couples, like no. the amount of times i cant open a comment section introducing manga on TikTok is insane, cause i already know that disgusting group of straight women are out there like "why are they both manly?? that's not how a normal couple is supposed to be" "two manly guys is so weird and not normal" "the taller ones supposed to be top" "which ones top or bottom, im not reading it if the shorter ones top" like excuse me? just dont read it at all then, or are you forgetting something called PLOT?!?
