why do i feel like im the only one in my family who doesn't REALLY miss my mom anymore? she died when i was 7 and now i'm 15 and my dad never married anyone else. yep he's still single, why won't he move on and find someone? my mom gave me this stuffed animal and i still have it and whenever my dad finds it lying around on the floor, he shouts at me saying "take care of it, it was your mom's gift for you!" i feel like a really horrible person because of the fact that i've moved on, i mean, is it wrong that i've moved on? why does my dad treat me so coldly whenever i say "i've moved on"/"i think it's time that YOU move on" ? i think my sister feels the same way too, but then again, we never talk about mom. we can never hold a conversation about mom but otherwise we get along just fine. ahh this feels good, this feeling of getting this off my chest :(

Everyone copes with a loss of a loved one in different ways. It doesn't make you a bad person for moving on, you were too young at the time to feel it as deeply as your dad did. It's normal that he treasures all the memories that he has left of her and he treasures you and wants you to treasure those important memories too. That's just his way of loving her, but it would be good if you could talk more about her. It might be better to talk about her and everything more openly rather than keeping it bottled up, but only if you're all ready to talk. You can't force the moving on, some might take little time to move on, some might never move on. The matters of heart can't be rushed.
